6. Publish (Subdomain)

Learn how to create custom subdomains for your projects in Stylie by renaming the default subdomain, while using the free subdomain extension. Enjoy personalized URLs and easy management.

In Stylie, you can create your own custom subdomain for your web design and digital marketing projects. This customization allows you to have more personalized URLs representing your brand or project focus. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating a custom subdomain in Stylie.

Creating a Custom Subdomain:

  1. Create a new website project within your workspace. By default, the first project in a new workspace will have the name "Project Number One." Rename this project to the desired name, for example, "Subdomain Demo."

  2. Preview the project in Stylie. You will see that it generates a URL with a randomly assigned subdomain, for example, "fruit123.mysitebuilder.live." This free subdomain extension will always remain part of the URL.

  3. To customize the subdomain, close the preview and click on "Publish." Select "Subdomain" and choose "My Own Subdomain."

  4. Note that the ".mysitebuilder.live" extension at the end of the URL is locked in. Click on "Submit," and if the subdomain is available, a green success bar will appear at the top.

  5. Now, when you view the project on the front end, the URL will be updated to "myownsubdomain.mysitebuilder.live."

Changing the Subdomain:

If you decide to change your subdomain at any time, you can easily do so by clicking on "Publish," selecting "Subdomain," and choosing a new custom subdomain.

With custom subdomains, you can create more personalized and brand-consistent URLs for your projects in Stylie. Tailor your project's web presence and manage your web design and digital marketing projects with added flexibility.
