The focus of our tutorial is the option to import a custom domain from a registrar of your choice to your Stylie website. This task is carried out in the 'Websites' section of the Stylie platform. After selecting a project and hitting the 'Publish' button, you will encounter several options. The one you need to choose is 'Custom Domain.'

Upon choosing this option, a field is provided to enter your chosen domain. For demonstrative purposes, we use a placeholder domain. After submission, Stylie fetches the domain's data that you'll need to enter on your domain registrar's site. A green indication signifies a successful link, confirming that your domain is fully operational.

Your work continues primarily on your domain registrar's platform, which could range from your host, independent domains like GoDaddy, or any other registrar. In our example, we used 'I Want My Name' and selected a dummy domain to manage its DNS records.

To link your domain to your website on Stylie, you will need to manage two primary records: the A record and the C Name record. These are adjusted within your domain registrar's dashboard.

In the case of the C Name record, copy the data provided by Stylie and paste it in the respective field on your registrar's site. The host for the C Name record is usually denoted as 'www.' A tick mark indicates a successful operation.

Next, for the A record, repeat the same process of copying data from Stylie and pasting it on your domain registrar's platform. The symbol '@' is usually used for the host of the A record. Again, a successful operation is confirmed by a checkmark.

Ensure you save your DNS settings on your registrar's site for the changes to take effect. This basic setup is the same regardless of how your registrar's dashboard looks. Remember, if you ever wish to delete your domain, return to the 'Custom Domain' option on Stylie and select 'Delete Domain.'
