Web designing involves a lot of behind-the-scenes work before the final product can be viewed by the public. This article, based on our latest video tutorial, provides a detailed guide on managing your web pages from draft to live on the Stylie platform.
When you create a new page on Stylie, you'll notice an option marked 'Save Draft' in the toolbar at the bottom right. A page in draft mode is a working document only visible to you, and won't be accessible by visitors if your domain is already live.
To make your page public, navigate to the options on the right and select 'Publish Page' at the bottom. Upon selection, the button switches to 'Update', essentially meaning 'Save'. Post-publishing, any changes you make on the page can be saved using this button.
Publishing the page makes it accessible to visitors. To see what the page looks like from a visitor's perspective, you can use the 'Preview' button next to 'Update'. This opens a new tab in your browser, showing the current state of your page.
You can modify your page by adding or deleting content blocks. For instance, to delete a block, go to 'Block Options' and select the trash icon. The moment you make a change, 'Update' is highlighted, indicating that changes have been made that need to be saved. You can either click 'Update' or use the shortcut key 'CTRL S' ('Command S' for Mac users) to save your changes.
Previewing the page again, you'll notice that the changes have taken effect. However, if you decide to revert the page back to a draft and remove the live version from visitor access, go back to the options toolbar, select 'Options', and switch back to 'Draft'.
Mastering these basic functionalities will ensure a smoother web design experience. Stay tuned for more tutorials to optimize your use of the Stylie platform.
